The simulator is a model of an anatomically accurate adult torso from the upper thighs to the upper chest.

The bony anatomical and topographic landmarks include:

• ribs;
• edges of the costal arches;
• xiphoid process;
• pubic crest;
• superior anterior iliac bones.

The simulator provides the opportunity to learn the skills of conducting a physical examination of the abdominal organs, including palpation, auscultation, and percussion.

The package includes:

• 3 interchangeable liver models: slightly enlarged, enlarged with a smooth lower edge, and enlarged with an irregular lower edge;
• 2 interchangeable spleen models: slightly enlarged and significantly enlarged;
• 2 interchangeable kidney models of different sizes;
• an enlarged bladder 2 interchangeable aortic models: normal and with an aneurysm;
• a set of 6 pathological abdominal formations, including:
• 4 smooth formations: two sizes, each size is made in two variants – firm and soft consistency;
• 2 formations of firm consistency of irregular shape.
• imitation of an aortic aneurysm;
• a set for simulating changes in the volume of the abdomen – for diagnosing ascites using percussion techniques, detecting migratory dullness, or fluid fluctuation.

The simulator provides the ability to detect ascites by identifying migratory dullness and fluid fluctuation. The simulator’s design allows for the position of the liver and spleen to be changed during inhalation and exhalation.

The model includes a built-in MP3 player for teaching auscultation of sounds associated with intestinal obstruction, as well as renal or aortic sounds of various locations.

The simulator is intended for use in medical educational institutions.
